Medical care in our practice is provided by three physicians and two nurse practitioners. We are supported by certified medical assistants, a practice manager, an administrative manager and a clinical manager. The practice was founded by Dr. Daniel Levy in 1978 and has been located in the Owings Mills community since that time. The composition of our staff is designed to provide the most compassionate and timely care for your child. We aim to make every office visit as pleasant and efficient as possible.
Office visits are conducted by a doctor or Nurse Practitioner. We encourage you to schedule visits with the same provider for each well visit. A schedule of routine well visits and immunizations will be provided for you.
Acutely ill children will be seen on the same day by our professional staff. Sick appointments are generally made with the first available provider to be seen as soon as possible. Children with long-standing complaints may be seen on the same day, but only if time permits.
We ask that parents plan ahead for routine physicals. Infants will be seen on schedule if the next appointment is made at the end of the preceding visit; in other words, please schedule the next appointment before you leave.
We are required by your insurance contract to collect payment in a timely way. Co-pays must be paid at the time of the visit.
We expect families to arrive on time so that we may provide our full attention. Please plan on arriving 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to allow sufficient time for registration. If you must cancel, please call 24 hours in advance.
All of our physicians are members of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). This is an organization of 66,000 pediatricians that set the "gold standard" for the care of children. We strive to provide state-of-the-art pediatric medicine in accordance with the guidelines from the AAP. You may visit the AAP website at www.aap.org . There is a wealth of information for parents at this site, as well as links to other helpful websites. Healthychildren.org is another excellent resource for parents, powered by the AAP. We encourage you to visit this site. We are also on Facebook.
